Ценовая дискриминация
Продажа фирмой одного и того же товара на разных рынках или разным потребителям по разным ценам. Рынки могут отличаться друг от друга по географическому признаку (внутренний и внешний рынок), по виду продукции (рынок автомобилей и рынок запасных частей к автомобилям), по характеру потребностей потребителей (рынок электроэнергии для промышленных и бытовых целей). Ценовая дискриминация может иметь как положительный, так и отрицательный эффект. С одной стороны, ее можно использовать, например, для достижения экономии на масштабах. С другой стороны, она часто является средством увеличения монопольной прибыли (см. Discriminating monopolist). Различают дискриминацию первого, второго и третьего порядка. Ценовая дискриминация первого порядка (first-degree price discrimination) означает, что товар продается по максимально высокой цене, и вся прибыль от продажи достается производителю при отсутствии излишка потребителя (см. Consumer surplus). На практике осуществить дискриминацию первого порядка непросто, поскольку производители не обладают достаточной информацией о своих потребителях. Дискриминация второго порядка (second-degree price discrimination) имеет место, когда производители не могут определить, к какой категории относятся потребители, однако при этом предлагают разные цены, что заставляет самих потребителей обозначить свои приоритеты. Например, авиапассажиры могут сделать выбор между дорогими и дешевыми билетами: туристы обычно предпочитают дешевый вариант в целях экономии и заказывают билеты заранее, в то время как бизнесмены готовы платить дороже за возможность получить билет немедленно. ценовая дискриминация
Обычная при несовершенной конкуренции практика назначения разных цен для разных потребителей на основе различий в эластичности спроса. То же: ценовая диверсификация, диверсификация цен. Существуют разные ее виды: во-первых, по доходам покупателей. Максимальная цена, которую может заплатить покупатель за каждое приобретаемое изделие — резервированная цена (reservation price); практика назначения для каждого покупателя резервированной цены называется идеальной диверсификацией цен (perfect first-degree price discriminftion). Во-вторых, в зависимости от объема потребления: например, неодинаковые тарифы за электроэнергию для крупных и мелких потребителей; в-третьих по категориям товаров, например, авиабилеты туристского и первого классов; в четвертых, разного рода скидки для тех или иных категорий покупателей (например, распространенная на Западе традиция скидок при продаже книг для преподавателей или железнодорожных билетов для пенсионеров). В идеале фирма предпочитала бы осуществлять полную диверификацию цен, т.е. назначить для каждого покупателя резервированную цену товара и получить таким образом максимальный сбыт. На практике это почти невозможно. И все же различные формы ценовой дискриминации, в том числе перечисленные, эффективно используются для увеличения прибыли, а также для решения долгосрочных задач фирмы — таких как создание устойчивой ее репутации среди потребителей и в обществе в целом.
